About Me

Full-time Medical Scientist and part-time traveler from sweet home, Chicago.

I have my B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science and an MBA.  I work in a large hospital in the Chicago-land area helping patients understand what is going on inside their bodies and how to make them feel healthy again.

So, a few things about me..

I’m obsessed with animals.

Charlie and Spike (My Pitbull Rescues)
  • I have a turtle named Micheal Angelo and my family has 2 pitbull rescues, 2 cats, and plenty of fish.
  • Adore dogs, turtles, seals (aka water pups), and penguins

I love sports, hiking, fishing, camping..basically anything outdoors.

Traveling Background…

Started traveling around the world at the young age of 12 (thanks mom & dad) with a student ambassador program based in the US.

People to People Student Ambassador Program in Australia, 2002
  • After 3 summers in the UK, Europe, and Australia…It was official. I was addicted to traveling before I was able to drive.

Throughout High School and College I started to plan and figure out some lists of places I wanted to see.

  • In 2013, I finally pulled the trigger and booked a trip to New Zealand and Fiji.
  • While planning for that trip, I found my passion to research and plan extraordinary trips.
  • My friends would also joke that I was their travel agent …and from there, my side hobby was born.

From that point on, I have been constantly ticking places off my list.  I like to try to explore the entire country if possible, engulfing myself entirely in the culture for weeks at a time instead of just visiting only the most popular city.

I decided to start blogging because I find most of my traveling information all over the internet and Iā€™d like to help others get everything they need in just a single place, if possible.  I want to post about the traveling process, my itinerary, and the best things to do throughout the world. Everywhere I travel, I research and plan myself, so why not share my experiences with you? šŸ™‚

I hope to inspire you to explore the world sooner rather than later.
